Media Release: 16 June 2025 Rather Be Seoul-Searching? Jetstar x KTO Launch Special Flight Sale The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) Sydney Office and Jetstar are thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership offering Australians affordable and convenient travel to South Korea. From 10:00 am AEST on Monday, 16 June 2025, Jetstar will launch a special sale with discounted one-way fares to Seoul (Incheon) from Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne (via Sydney), with prices starting from just $269. The sale runs until 11:59 pm AEST on Sunday, 22 June 2025, unless sold out earlier. This campaign comes as Jetstar rapidly expands its Korea network. In October 2024, Jetstar announced it would operate 10 return services per week between Australia and Seoul, making it the largest carrier between the two countries. The introduction of daily services from Sydney and three flights per week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays) from Brisbane is expected to deliver over 240,000 low-fare seats annually between Australia and South Korea. Jetstar is the first low-cost carrier to launch direct flights between Sydney and Seoul in November 2022. Since then, demand has surged – with Korean travellers ranking as the fifth largest international group through Sydney Airport in Q3 2024, up 54% compared to 2019.
